It is a nice and relaxing campground, perfect for relaxing in your hammock with a stand. Cannon Beach is one of the best areas to visit along the Oregon Coast. If you have the opportunity to camp near Cannon Beach, Oregon, there are some good options that are not too far away, with some being very close and very nice. If you’re on the hunt for wildflowers, check out the Iron Mountain Trail, home to more than 300 species of flowering plants and ending at an expanse of bare volcanic rock. You can also enjoy tent camping at sites with established fire rings ready to go.

Buds RV Park and Campground is a beautiful site that is only one mile from the beach. They are in Gearheart, making them about 20 minutes away from Cannon Beach. Circle Creek RV Resort has great managers, and this park can fit larger RVs than the Cannon Beach campgrounds. If you are tent camping and don’t want an RV park near Cannon Beach, your best camping near Cannon Beach is going to be Hipcamp or Wrights for Camping.

If you’re looking for a good spot to take your kids, be mindful that Newberry is ideal for adults but may not have the amenities your kids are looking for without heading off-site. Overall, it’s a great place for retired folks or for people who want to enjoy a getaway with their significant other.

Flush toilets, showers, picnic tables, and fire pits are provided. Sites are all first-come, first-served and the campground is open from May 1 to October 31. Most campgrounds are closed in winter, with the majority opening in March and closing in October. You can book state park campsites up to nine months in advance, although many offer first-come, first-served sites.

Overnight camping is allowed on sections of the beaches, but there are restrictions. You cannot be adjacent to a state park or within the city limits of Cannon Beach, Lincoln City, Seaside, Newport, Bandon, Gold Beach, Rockaway Beach and Manzanita. If you can find somewhere outside of these areas where you can drive onto the beach then you are welcome to camp there. Keep in mind that these areas are few and far between and may not be accessible by vehicle. In other words, this is not a great option for most RVers.
