“TLC is not currently in production on ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,'” the network told ABC News in a statement Thursday. The “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star, a mother of four including 9-year-old Alana, a.k.a. “Honey Boo Boo,” has denied having a relationship with the sex offender. The news comes on the heels of a report that Mama June is dating a sex offender. “I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can’t believe everything you read!” she wrote on daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s page. One can only imagine how getting arrested in this incident might have affect her current and future educational goals, but thankfully that’s not something she’ll need to worry about.
TLC is “reassessing” the future of its hit reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo after a disturbing TMZ report that one of the stars, Mama June, is dating a convicted child molester. During the filming of the latest series her 14-year-old daughter, Alana was forced to go and live with her sister Lauryn. The older Shannon daughters were aware that their mother used drugs as there were issues in the past. Lauryn told cameras that she did not want her younger sister around the drugs and decided to take her in to protect her. Their relationships have been strained since Mama June was arrested, causing turmoil within the family.

Earlier today, news broke that Here Comes Honey Boo Boo matriarch June Shannon has reportedly resumed a relationship with Mark McDaniel, a sex offender she was dating at the time he went to prison 10 years ago. Even more troubling, the 53-year-old was convicted for molesting one of June’s young relatives, whom she remains in contact with.
The show has since been cancelled by US network, TLC, following the news of Shannon’s alleged relationship. The network will reportedly pay for tutors and counselors for the children. “Just got a phone call this morning from TLC and as of right now there will be no more production of the show. The statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue.” Mama June, whose real name is June Shannon, reportedly broke up with Sugar Bear after he cheated on her. However, the new story is that Mama June was actually the one who was unfaithful.
